The Ashaninka Tribe
The precious ingredients of Saventaro^® are sustainably grown and hand harvested in Peru by the Ashaninka Tribe, who have relied on the medicinal properties of Cat's Claw for centuries. Known in the region as Powerful Plant, Ashaninka harvesters cut only one-third of the Saventaro's secondary roots, leaving the rest of the plant intact. Each plant is harvested only once every 10 years to ensure a strong, healthy supply of Cat's Claw in the future.

This sustainable practice plays an important role in minimizing the impact on the fragile areas of the Amazon where these botanicals thrive. In return, the growers and havesters of the Ashaninka people receive financial support for education, medical care and the vital protection of their rainforest lands.
